Chen Dong,graduated from China Agricultural University,got the PH.D in food science and engineering.From 2002,he come here responsible for understanding pet and pet parent’s needs and translating them into technical requirements and consumer models to drive business impact. The incumbent will leverage technical thinking skills to bring together consumer needs, science and technology into winning product innovation and renovation. He have one or more defined areas of technical expertise, will initiate and leads technology or capability advances, and will be assigned to work on important business and technical challenges.
· Lead the formulation and development of new Pet Food and/or Snacks product concepts
· Develop and publish formulation and finished product specifications
· Implement all technical aspects of a project’s Formulation/Product Development work-stream and ensure that all assigned tasks are completed according to plan
· Coordinate and manage sensory/palatability testing, shelf life/stability testing and other key technical project deliverables
· Keep abreast of new ingredients and technologies and recommend for consideration where appropriate
· Solve complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify creative and innovative solutions within function
· Actively collaborate, build and leverage relationships across functional teams to achieve established shared goals or objectives
· Partner with team members to develop key tasks and project plans for timely completion of goals
· May be designated to represent R&D as Technical Lead on cross functional teams
